thank you for sending us that photo. folks are wearing hats and our temperatures this hour is 45 degrees. that is a far cry from the mid 20's we had this morning. it is still well below average. we're 10-15 degrees below where we should be this time of year. we have 46 in frederick and $43.45 in manassas. a little warmer toward the bay. in shenandoah national park, there's a little bit of white snow holding on at the mountaintop. a beautiful time lapse from the sunrise this morning. a little bit of clout in this to start the day and that changed into a thin veil of clouds. that will be the rule throughout the day today. the coastal system is trying to get organized. it is beginning to appear off the coast of north carolina. the timing of all this shows the clouds are trying to filter their way into our region. we will see the clouds increase by tonight. our computer model shows that the store may be 200 miles off the coast which means we're looking at the eastern shore of the delmarva to get the greatest impact. it will

just west of us offshore by a couple hundred miles. then riding way up to the north because of the huge ridge of the high pressure, which is the reason why we're so sunny and warm today. not moving tomorrow, weather is not changing tomorrow. record warmth is possible for a second straight day. many of you will have an afternoon in the 80s, right before the sunset about five minutes after five. high pressure moves out after that and then it is all about a big area of low pressure, shoving the high out of here. giving us a cooler weather by wednesday and then the cold front moves through on thursday as you're going to feel the effects on friday and into the weekend as we will struggle to make it out of the 50s, just a couple days removed from the highs in the 80s. once again very warm tomorrow for the election day. no weather reason to not vote and to get out and exercise your right. much cooler weather arrives on wednesday and the snow level on friday, they will drop all the way down to 3,000 feet with the scattered showers out. there l
